Merchants Recruitment is looking for customer-focused individuals to join a dynamic banking environment in Sandton/Alexandra.

As a Call Centre Agent, also referred to as a Customer Care Specialist, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers. You will provide professional support with account queries, product information, customer requests, and complaint resolution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers.
• Provide professional and customer-focused service.
• Assist customers with account-related queries.
• Provide accurate information about relevant banking products.
• Process and respond to customer requests.
• Address and resolve customer complaints.
• Engage with customers professionally.
• Identify and understand individual customer needs.
• Ask relevant probing questions to gather the required information.
• Use multiple computer systems to investigate queries and provide accurate solutions.

Requirements

• Matric or an NQF Level 4 qualification.
• At least 12 months of customer-service experience.
• Experience in retail, hospitality, banking, contact centres, or another high-end service environment would be advantageous.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to work across multiple computer systems.
• Minimum typing speed of 25 words per minute.
