The Department of Employment and Labour is inviting applications for Client Service Officer: PES positions across various Labour Centres in Gauteng.

There are 14 posts available.

The successful candidates will support Public Employment Services by assisting work-seekers and employers with registration services on ESSA. The role includes referring work-seekers for employment counselling, providing administrative support for placement opportunities, and participating in advocacy sessions when required.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates with Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate who have good communication skills, computer literacy, interpersonal skills and customer service ability.

Responsibilities

• Render registration services for work-seekers on ESSA.
• Render registration services for employers and organisations on ESSA.
• Refer work-seekers for Employment Counselling services.
• Provide administrative support for the placement of work-seekers in work and learning opportunities.
• Render general administrative duties.
• Participate in advocacy sessions when required.
• Support client service delivery within the Labour Centre.
• Maintain accurate records and follow departmental procedures.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
• Knowledge of departmental policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Knowledge of all labour legislation.
• Knowledge of Public Service Act and Regulations.
• Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles.
