A detailed Curriculum Vitae indicating positions held, employment dates, key performance areas and responsibilities. The Z83 form can be obtained from any Public Service Department, the Department of Public Service and Administration website, or the Recruitment Office within the Civilian Secretariat for Police Service. Applicants are not required to submit copies of qualifications or other supporting documents when applying. Only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit certified documents on or before the interview date, following communication from the Department. Closing Date 24 July 2026 Applications must reach the Department no later than 16:00 on weekdays . Important Notes Failure to submit the requested documents or information will result in the application not being considered. Failure to comply with the application requirements will result in disqualification. Correspondence will be limited to shortlisted candidates. Applicants who have not been contacted within three months after the closing date should accept that their applications were unsuccessful. All shortlisted candidates, including candidates applying for SMS posts, will undertake two pre-entry assessments. One assessment will be a practical exercise used to determine suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements. The other will be an integrity and ethical conduct assessment. Following the interview and technical exercise, the selection panel will recommend the most suitable candidate. Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a security clearance. The Secretary of Police Service reserves the right not to fill the post. The post is based in Pretoria. Preference will be given to youth, persons with disabilities, Coloureds, Indians and Whites, both males and females, in accordance with the Department’s employment equity plan.
