Description

Solareff is offering a 12-month fixed-term position in its Finance Team as part of the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative, a Presidency-led program designed to combat youth unemployment and support BBBEE transformation goals. This role offers young South Africans, aged between 18-34, a chance to gain valuable work experience. This is not an internship program, apprenticeship or training whereby participants will obtain any form of qualification or certification. Eligible candidates will gain hands-on experience in financial administration within our dynamic Company.

Responsibilities

•  Provide administrative support to the finance team at large.
•  Process invoices and credits from procurement/supply chain and suppliers into the accounting system.
•  Ensure accurate documentation and filing for audit purposes.
•  Handle cashbook transactions.
•  Send out customer statements.
•  Process customer invoices and credit notes.
•  Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks as directed.

Requirements

•  Grade 12 or equivalent; a post-matric certificate/ program is advantageous
•  South African citizen, aged 18-34.
•  Strong mathematical proficiency and attention to detail.
•  Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
•  Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams).
•  Must not have been permanently employed by a single employer for more than 1 year.
•  Must not be studying full-time during the employment year.
•  Must not have previously participated in or registered for the YES initiative.
