Job Description:
The Gauteng College of Nursing invites applications for the 2026 Diploma in Nursing Programme. This programme prepares students to become professional nurses through academic study and practical training in Gauteng Department of Health hospitals and clinics. Successful applicants will be placed at one of the following campuses:
- Ann Latsky Campus
- Chris Hani Baragwanath Campus
- SG Lourens Campus
- Bonalesedi Campus
Responsibilities
- Attend lectures and complete theoretical training.
- Participate in Work Integrated Learning (WIL), including shifts, weekends, nights, and public holidays.
- Deliver safe, quality patient care under supervision.
- Develop key nursing skills, including communication, problem-solving, and patient support.
- Uphold ethical, professional, and compassionate nursing standards.
Requirements
- South African citizen living in Gauteng
- Grade 12 / Senior Certificate / Vocational Certificate (Primary Health)
- Subjects: English, Life Sciences/Biology, Maths or Maths Literacy
- Minimum APS: 27 (or equivalent M-score/percentages)
- Current Grade 12 learners can apply with Grade 11 results
- Must pass psychometric test, medical check, and document verification
