iqbusiness South Africa is inviting applications for a Systems Development Learnership (NQF Level 4) for People with Disabilities based in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

This 12-month learnership programme is designed for candidates who are passionate about technology and interested in building a career in Information Technology.

Successful learners will work towards a nationally recognised Systems Development NQF Level 4 qualification while gaining practical workplace experience.

The programme is suitable for South African citizens living with a disability who want to develop foundational skills in programming, web development, information systems and computer networks.

Successful learners will receive a monthly allowance for the duration of the programme.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the 12-month Systems Development learnership programme.
• Complete all learnership training requirements.
• Gain practical workplace experience in Information Technology.
• Learn programming fundamentals.
• Build foundational web development knowledge.
• Gain exposure to information systems.
• Learn basic computer network concepts.
• Complete programme assessments and workplace tasks.
• Follow workplace instructions and professional standards.
• Develop practical skills for future opportunities in IT and systems development.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Must be a South African citizen.
• Must be living with a disability.
• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 3.
• English pass of at least 50%.
• Mathematics pass of at least 50%.

OR

• Mathematics Literacy pass of at least 60%.

Applicants must also have:

• Basic computer literacy.
• Strong interest in Information Technology.
• Willingness to enter into a fixed-term learnership agreement.
• Interest in systems development, programming, web development or computer networks.

• This is a learnership programme and not permanent employment.
• Successful applicants will enter into a fixed-term learnership agreement.
