Description
The Registry Clerk will provide registry, records management, and administrative support to ensure effective handling, storage, tracking, and distribution of official documents within the Department.

Responsibilities
- Provide registry counter services and assist clients with enquiries.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, registering, dispatching, and tracking.
- Receive and register hand-delivered mail and files.
- Maintain filing systems, including opening, closing, storing, tracing, and retrieving documents.
- Operate registry-related office machines (franking machine, scanners, etc.).
- Maintain registers: franking machine register, remittance register, and daily records.
- Conduct spot checks to ensure compliance and prevent misuse.
- Package, scan, and prepare documents for archiving or disposal.
- Compile and maintain records of archived documents.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) – No experience required.
- Basic knowledge of public service policies and legislative frameworks.
- Understanding of registry practices, storage systems, and data capturing procedures.
