Remote Recruitment is on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our finance team. This role involves providing essential support with financial transactions, reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
This is a remote position, allowing for flexibility while contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial operations.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Process invoices and manage accounts payable and receivable.
Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Support month-end closing activities and financial reconciliations.
Help prepare documentation for audits and manage compliance requirements.
Assist in payroll processing and employee expense reporting.
Respond to financial inquiries and provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
A Grade 12 (Matric) certificate is essential.
A National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field will be advantageous.
Previous experience in a finance or accounting environment will serve as a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial procedures.
Computer literacy is essential, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero will be beneficial.
Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise work effectively and manage deadlines in a high-pressure setting.
