Description

Fidelity Services Group is looking for an Accounts/Admin professional to support SSG Cleaning in Pretoria.

The Finance Administrator will assist with day-to-day accounting and financial administration, maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, and support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Responsibilities

Petty Cash and Cash-on-Hand Administration

• Maintain the petty cash and cash-on-hand processes.
• Issue approved funds to operational employees.
• Collect transaction slips from operational employees.
• Follow up on outstanding slips and unused funds.
• Reconcile petty cash against accounting records.
• Process petty cash transactions for all regions.
• Manage and reconcile regional petty cash balances.

Procurement Card Administration

• Collect transaction slips from cardholders.
• File procurement card slips correctly.
• Process procurement card transactions in the accounting records.
• Reconcile procurement card balances.
• Request approved card top-ups from the Senior Accountant or Financial Manager.

Accounting Administration

• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
• Build and maintain good working relationships with operational employees.
• Ensure all relevant transactions are processed completely and accurately.
• Process transactions according to company policies and procedures.
• Complete accounting tasks within the required deadlines.
• Classify transactions using the correct account numbers, project codes, cost centres, and regions.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Uniform and Inventory Management

• Process new uniform requisitions received from operational sites.
• Control new and used uniform inventory.
• Record used uniforms received from sites.
• Liaise with charitable organisations regarding used uniforms that cannot be reissued to employees.
• Complete monthly stocktakes for new and used uniform stock.
• Maintain proper records of uniform forms, including stock booking-in and booking-out forms.
• Maintain stock issue records for depreciation purposes.

Reconciliations and Operational Support

• Prepare weekly income statement reconciliations.
• Ensure reports balance with the accounting system.
• Stand in for the second Finance Administrator when required.

Requirements

• National Senior Certificate or Grade 12.
• Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Between one and two years of experience in a finance or accounting environment.
• Experience within the cleaning industry would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to use accounting software.
