Catch is hiring an Algorithims Engineer based in Sandton, Gauteng.

The key objective of the Algorithms Engineer is to think in terms of algorithms that will advance the company’s ability to deliver an exceptional client experience at scale.

The role requires communicating ideas and intentions professionally, responding to constructive criticism, and effectively implementing algorithms in code.

The Algorithms Engineer is expected to have mature competence as a coder or procedure builder in at least one domain, and to expand on that by rapidly acquiring new knowledge to solve previously unseen problems using unfamiliar technologies.

The role also requires a broad understanding of larger system interactions and consequences, including system cost, performance, complexity, and maintainability.

The successful candidate should be comfortable engaging with end-users and clients to merge their viewpoints and requirements with technical frameworks and constraints.
