Description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited requires a Health Merchandiser for its Table Bay store in Cape Town.

The position is responsible for maintaining basic merchandising standards and providing customers with outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Restock merchandise according to business requirements.
• Ensure delivered stock and stock removed from the storeroom are stored and packed in the correct spaces.
• Ensure the full range of products is available on the shelves.
• Rotate stock regularly according to the First In, First Out method.
• Assist with general stocktaking.
• Ensure front-shop shelves and products are neatly presented and visible.
• Ensure products have the correct labels and pricing.
• Build, face up, stock and maintain merchandising displays.
• Maintain the daily physical upkeep of the store and merchandise displays.
• Take responsibility for designated stock in the storeroom and on the shop floor.
• Assist with back shopping.
• Respond to and resolve customer stock queries.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or Matric.
• Up to six months of retail experience.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
• Willingness and ability to work retail hours.
• Ability and physical fitness to lift and move heavy boxes.
• Ability to comply with health and safety standards.
• Reliable transport or residence close to the store.
• South African citizenship.
• Clear credit and criminal records.

The following will be advantageous:

• A diploma or degree within the Health Focus category.
• At least one year of retail experience.
• Knowledge of merchandising standards and the FMCG industry.
• Product and category knowledge.
• Ability to analyse ZMORE reports for ordering and stocktaking.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Knowledge of Unisolv.
