Smollan is offering a YES Learners - Merchandiser opportunity in Fochville, Gauteng.

The role is a full-time contract position for 11 months and offers an opportunity to gain retail, visual merchandising, sales, and customer service experience.

As a Merchandiser, the successful candidate will help ensure shelves are stocked, products are displayed correctly, and customers have a good shopping experience.

Work schedule: Shifts

Hours: 8 hours per day

Start date: ASAP

Responsibilities

• Count, document, and manage stock levels.
• Unpack and organise products.
• Create attractive displays.
• Plan store layouts.
• Design signs and advertisements to attract customer attention.
• Ensure products are properly displayed.
• Ensure products are correctly priced.
• Maintain product displays.
• Remove old or damaged products.
• Work with marketing, sales, and other teams to achieve business objectives.
• Provide product advice to customers.
• Handle customer complaints.
• Respond to customer queries and requests.
• Keep the store area clean, tidy, and uncluttered.
• Keep the storeroom clean, tidy, and uncluttered.
• Maintain accurate stock records and product displays.
• Support attractive and well-maintained store displays.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organisation.

Requirements

• Matric.
• English.
• Must be within 15km of the job location.
• Clear criminal record.
• Must have own smartphone.
• Must have a Matric Certificate.
• Must have an ID.
• Must have a SARS Letter.
• Must have a Bank Confirmation Letter.
• Must have a Vodacom SIM card if the application is successful.
• Relevant experience in one or more of the following roles:
