The Department of Land Reform and Rural Development is recruiting a Human Resource Clerk within the Directorate: Human Resource and Records Management Services in Pretoria.

The position provides support with human resource administration, recruitment and selection, conditions of service, performance management and employee enquiries.

Responsibilities

• Implement human resource administration practices.
• Support recruitment and selection processes.
• Assist with advertisements and appointments.
• Process employee transfers.
• Assist with the verification of qualifications.
• Perform secretariat functions during interviews.
• Assist with employee absorptions and probationary periods.
• Implement conditions of service relating to:
  • Leave.
  • Housing.
  • Medical matters.
  • Injuries on duty.
  • Long-service recognition.
  • Overtime.
  • Relocation.
  • Pensions.
  • Allowances.
  • PILIR.
• Support performance-management processes.
• Process terminations of service.
• Address human resource administration enquiries.
• Respond to enquiries from internal and external clients.

Requirements

• A Grade 12 Certificate or a related equivalent qualification.
• No experience is required.
• Knowledge of registry duties and practices.
• Ability to capture data.
• Ability to operate a computer.
• Working knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service.
• Knowledge of storage and retrieval procedures applicable to the working environment.
• Understanding of registry work.
