Catch is hiring a Quality Assurance Analyst based in Sandton, Gauteng.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic Group Technology team and play a key role in validating the quality and reliability of software solutions.

The role involves direct communication with the product owner, business analyst, and development teams to ensure that all features and functionalities meet the intended objectives and specifications.

The Quality Assurance Analyst will also be involved in test automation to ensure the Test Automation system has extensive and necessary coverage to reduce the risk of unintended consequences from regular deployments.

The role also includes assisting the Delivery Team in identifying areas of improvement in the Software Development Life Cycle and suggesting or implementing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform User Acceptance Testing to validate that developed features meet user acceptance criteria.
• Work closely with project management and development teams to define the scope and objectives of user acceptance tests.
• Keep records of test cases, test plans, and test results.
• Document bugs, errors, and inconsistencies discovered during testing.
• Identify and report defects to the development team.
• Explain which features are failing and why.
• Recommend actions for defect resolution.
• Participate in development meetings to provide updates on testing status and encountered issues.
• Gather new requirements during feedback sessions.
• Evaluate the severity and priority of each bug.
• Work with the team to prioritise fixes.
• Validate changes in the production environment to ensure they meet intended business needs and compliance standards.
• Work with the Test Automation team to increase automated test coverage.
• Convert manual test cases into system-readable test cases.
• Identify deficiencies in automated test suites and suggest improvements.
• Work with the Delivery Team to identify areas in the Software Development Life Cycle that can be improved.
• Suggest and implement improvements to software development processes.

Requirements

• B.Com Honours, B.Sc, B.Eng degree, or any other related degree.
• Advanced Excel knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum development process is a plus.
