Motus Corporation is inviting applications for a Vehicle Sales Trainee position based in Boksburg, Gauteng.

This entry-level opportunity is part of the Multifranchise East Rand team and is aimed at candidates who want to build a career in vehicle sales within the automotive industry.

The successful candidate will receive practical exposure to dealership sales operations, vehicle product knowledge, customer service, sales proposals, test drives, customer engagement, and sales performance support.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in understanding vehicle features and benefits.
• Help customers make informed vehicle purchasing decisions.
• Conduct product demonstrations.
• Facilitate test drives to showcase vehicles effectively.
• Support the sales team with sales proposals.
• Assist with negotiating terms and closing deals.
• Maintain knowledge of different vehicle models.
• Keep up to date with automotive industry trends.
• Engage with customers in person, by phone, and through digital platforms.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote special offers and events.
• Support activities that drive foot traffic to the dealership.
• Participate in training sessions to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
• Provide excellent customer service to support satisfaction and repeat business.

Requirements

• Completed Matric certificate or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to engage with different types of customers.
• Passion for the automotive industry.
• Interest in growing within vehicle sales.
• Basic understanding of sales principles.
• Basic understanding of customer service practices.
• Customer-facing experience will be an advantage, but is not mandatory.
• Computer literacy.
• Proficiency in MS Office will be an advantage.
• CRM software knowledge will be a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous retail or sales experience will be advantageous, but is not essential.
• Valid South African driver’s licence.
• Knowledge of different vehicle brands.
• Familiarity with dealership operations.
