Administrative Assistant to the Public Relations Officer
The Corporate Development Department is seeking a proactive and organised Administrative Assistant to provide support to the Public Relations Officer (PRO).
This role offers the ideal candidate an opportunity to gain exposure to both administrative and event-based responsibilities, with strong potential for growth within the department.
This is not a standard administrative role. The candidate will be required to step up when needed, handle responsibilities that may fall outside of routine admin tasks, and assist with new or ad-hoc initiatives. Tasks often require creative thinking and a hands-on approach.
Responsibilities
- Managing general office communication and correspondence.
- Providing support on internal documentation and policy updates.
- Coordinating logistics for internal functions, events, and branding activities.
- Handling supplier communication, quotations, and promotional orders.
- Assisting with event preparation, branding, courier arrangements, and setup.
- Drafting and proofreading internal communications and documents.
- Supporting internal projects such as campaigns and fundraising.
- Monitoring and updating internal platforms.
- Managing monthly routine admin tasks and supporting the PRO where needed.
- Coordinating long service awards and assisting with award planning.
- Ensuring all communication and branding aligns with internal standards.
- Performing ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.
- Supporting general office maintenance and supply orders.
Requirements
- Matric Certificate (Grade 12) – Compulsory.
- Computer Literacy – Compulsory and Non-Negotiable.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) – Compulsory.
