impact.com is hiring an Academy Operations Intern in Cape Town.

This 6-month hybrid internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in modern digital operations, agile project management, and cross-functional coordination.

The intern will assist in keeping project ecosystems running smoothly, tracking task deadlines, supporting collaborative meetings, and helping digital academy operations function at scale.

Responsibilities

Project & Tool Management Support

• Assist in updating, organising, and optimising project management boards in Asana and Jira.
• Monitor project timelines.
• Identify potential task delays.
• Follow up with team members to gather status updates.
• Help track and document team capacity and resource allocation.
• Support the Associate Manager with prioritisation efforts.

Stakeholder & Cross-functional Coordination

• Help manage the incoming queue of content and enablement requests.
• Ensure all required request details are captured.
• Assist in drafting agendas for bi-monthly syncs with enablement teams.
• Gather materials for meetings.
• Attend cross-functional alignment sessions.
• Capture detailed meeting minutes.
• Track action items and follow-up tasks.

Operational Excellence

• Support scheduling, setup, and logistics for key team events.
• Assist with Monday morning standups.
• Assist with bi-weekly syncs.
• Assist with monthly OKR reviews.
• Help maintain clean internal documentation.
• Assist in building or updating presentation templates.
• Support template decks for educational content.
• Support internal communications.
• Contribute to team engagement initiatives.
• Help build a positive and transparent team dynamic.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields:
  • Education
  • Business
  • Communication
  • Project Management
  • Film & Media with Production specialisation
  • Related field
• 1+ years of professional work experience.
• Professional experience may include:
  • Corporate internships
  • University administration
  • Relevant cooperative work placements
• Hands-on experience with project management software is highly preferred.
