Gijima is recruiting interns for a MICT SETA funded internship programme: GIJIMA ICT Internship Programme 2026/2027 in Cape Town.

Students who have completed their IT degree or IT diploma can apply.

Candidates must live in Cape Town.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the GIJIMA ICT Internship Programme 2026/2027.
• Gain workplace exposure in Information Technology.
• Apply completed IT qualification knowledge in a workplace environment.
• Communicate effectively in written and verbal English.
• Support ICT-related areas where required, including:
  • Active Directory support
  • Azure support
  • Windows support
  • Help desk support
  • Service coordination
  • Patch support
  • Release management
  • AI Engineering
  • Computer systems engineering
  • Software engineering

Requirements

Candidates must:

• Have completed a 3-year tertiary qualification in IT.
• Have a qualification relevant to the following support areas:
  • AD
  • Azure
  • Windows
  • Help desk
  • Service coordination
  • Patch support
  • Release management
• Have a qualification relevant to the following areas:
  • AI Engineering
  • Computer Systems Engineering
  • Software Engineering
• Have completed Matric with English and Mathematics.
• Have no criminal record.
• Be currently unemployed.
• Not be participating in another learnership or internship programme.
• Have effective written English communication skills.
• Have effective verbal English communication skills.
• Currently live in Cape Town.
• Be between the ages of 18 and 35 as of 1 June 2026.
• Be a South African citizen.
