Subscribe to Job Alerts Responsibilities Welcome customers with a friendly smile Suggest items, specials, and promotions to customers Handle customer complaints, queries, and concerns, telling the manager about serious problems Give great customer service with a positive attitude Talk about store events and keep the checkout area clean and organized Communicate with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth operations Use the cash register or computer to ring up orders correctly Process different forms of payment, including cash, debit cards, and credit cards Balance the cash register, perform cash counts, and monitor cash levels Bag, box, or wrap products Follow company rules, ways of working, and store standards Receive, verify, and unpack new stock Assist customers with orders over the counter and over the phone Bring orders to customers at windows, counters, or tables Make sure orders are packed, labeled, and look good Manage phone orders by answering calls quickly Keep front of house clean and organised during your shift
