Description

The Office of the Chief Justice is recruiting an Administration Clerk: DCRS at the Western Cape Division of the High Court in Cape Town.

The position provides digital court-recording, document-management, case-flow and general administrative support services.

Responsibilities

Test and operate recording equipment before court proceedings.
Perform digital recordings of court proceedings.
Ensure the integrity of court recordings.
Provide administrative support at circuit courts.
Collect statistics.
Provide general administrative support for court performance and case-flow management.
Provide administrative support relating to case flow, human resources, finance and supply chain management as required by the Judiciary, Court Manager, Chief Registrar and Supervisor.
Manage documents.
Operate DCRS and CRT machines.

Requirements

A Grade 12 certificate.
No experience is required.
A minimum of one year’s experience in court recordings will be an added advantage.
Exposure to court-related functions will be an added advantage.
A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage.
Shortlisted candidates must complete a pre-entry practical exercise to assess their suitability against the post’s technical and generic requirements.
