The Barman is responsible for accurately mixing and serving alcoholic, non-alcoholic, and coffee products to guests and service staff in a friendly, fast, and efficient manner.

The position is mainly focused on two functional areas:

• Front of house
• Stock

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve alcoholic products to guests and service staff.
• Mix and serve non-alcoholic products to guests and service staff.
• Prepare and serve coffee products.
• Provide service in a friendly, fast, and efficient manner.
• Support front-of-house duties.
• Support stock-related duties.
• Communicate effectively with hotel guests.
• Communicate effectively with staff members.
• Work as part of a team.
• Work independently when required.
• Remain calm under pressure.
• Maintain professional presentation and conduct.

Requirements

• Matric.
• 1 to 2 years Barman experience.
• Good all-round bar skills.
• Ability to make cocktails and specialised drinks.
• Hands-on problem-solving approach.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Well versed in an HMS system.
• Protel experience is advantageous.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work independently.
