The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport is offering National Youth Service Administrator opportunities in Gauteng.

This is an 8-month National Youth Service programme aimed at young people aged 18 to 35 who want to gain practical skills and work experience.

The department is committed to empowering unemployed youth through workplace skills development opportunities that enhance employability and provide valuable work experience in a professional government environment.

Successful candidates will be placed in different sections within the Department and will assist with administrative and support functions.

Salary: R3,500.00 per month

Responsibilities

Human Resources

• Provide administrative support to the HR team.
• Assist with filing, record keeping, and document management.
• Support recruitment and employee administration processes.
• Capture and update employee information on relevant systems.
• Assist with organising meetings and training activities.

Procurement and Supply Chain Management

• Assist with procurement administration and purchasing processes.
• Maintain supplier records and procurement documentation.
• Support compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Prepare and process quotations and requisitions.

Data Capturing

• Accurately capture, update, and maintain departmental data.
• Verify information and ensure data quality and integrity.
• Generate reports.
• Assist with record management.
• Organise electronic and manual filing systems.

Graphic Design, Photography, and Videography

• Assist with creating communication and promotional materials.
• Support photography and videography projects for departmental activities.
• Edit photos, videos, and digital content for various platforms.
• Assist with social media and public awareness campaigns.

Finance

• Assist with financial administration and record keeping.
• Support invoice processing and payment administration.
• Capture financial data.
• Prepare reports.
• Assist with budget monitoring and expenditure tracking.

Requirements

• Matric.
• National Diploma in Graphic Design, Multimedia, and Videography.
• National Diploma in any Finance / Accounting qualification.
• NCV / Nated qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite.
