PEP is hiring a Part-Time Sales Assistant in Diepsloot, Gauteng.
The role offers the opportunity to work up to 27 hours per week in a retail environment focused on growth, customer service, and teamwork.

Purpose of Position:
The Sales Assistant will promote sales, minimise stock losses, manage inventory, assist customers, operate the cash register, and uphold a low-cost culture to support business objectives.
Work schedule: As needed
Hours: 8 hours per day
Start date: ASAP
Responsibilities
- Keep the store environment positive and safe to reduce losses.
- Follow security and stock handling procedures.
- Manage the cash register according to company rules.
- Keep the store tidy.
- Help make the store efficient and cost-effective.
- Work with the store team.
- Sell products to customers with a positive attitude.
- Suggest additional products customers may like.
- Ensure customers are happy with their shopping experience.
- Handle customer problems or questions.
- Inform customers about sales and promotions.
- Understand product information and help customers find what they need.
- Greet and assist customers as soon as they enter the store.
- Meet sales goals.
- Stay updated on new products and changes.
- Help order stock.
- Help set up the store to look presentable.
- Receive, organise, and manage delivered stock.
- Process customer payments correctly using the cash register.
- Ensure customers leave satisfied.
Requirements
- Matric.
- Relevant experience in one or more of the following roles:
- Cashier
- General Assistant
- Store Assistant
- Store Associate
- Sales Administrator
- Sales Advisor
- Sales Agent
- Sales Assistant
- Sales Associate
- Sales Consultant
- Sales Representative
- Salesperson
- Retail Assistant
- Retail Assistant Manager

- Must be within 15km of the job location.
- Must have a clear criminal record.
- The position requires honesty when dealing with cash or finance.
