Moving Tactics is inviting applications for the Media Campaign Assistant Internship based in Fourways.
This is a paid 12-month internship offered in partnership with Yes4Youth. The role is designed for a highly organised, creative, and driven candidate who wants to gain practical experience in the digital signage and retail media space.
The successful candidate will support the full campaign lifecycle, from supplier coordination and social media management to field visits, reporting, and quality control across retail environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both administrative coordination and on-site execution.
Responsibilities
Campaign Coordination and Execution
- Assist Campaign Managers in the daily coordination of digital and retail media campaigns.
- Act as a point of contact for suppliers regarding mock-ups, artwork approval, production timelines, and delivery schedules.
- Track deadlines for flighting dates, print production, and material deliveries to ensure on-time execution.
- Prepare and distribute implementation briefs, store communication documents, and client-facing presentations.
- Maintain and update master campaign calendars, store lists, and client databases using internal systems.
Quality Control and Field Operations
- Conduct 8 to 14 in-store visits per month to verify campaign implementation and ensure compliance with brand standards.
- Identify and attempt to resolve technical or execution issues on-site.
- Escalate hardware and software failures to the technical team when necessary.
- Compare live in-store executions against approved mock-ups and flag discrepancies.
- Take high-quality photos and videos of live campaigns for internal reporting and social media use.
Reporting and Analytics
- Compile and distribute post-campaign reports within 2 to 3 days of campaign completion.
- Generate monthly and bi-monthly analytical reports to track campaign performance.
- Organise and manage a digital library of Proof of Flighting and Proof of Execution imagery.
Social Media and Content Management
- Manage day-to-day scheduling and publishing across company social media platforms.
- Monitor social performance metrics and contribute insights for campaign optimisation.
- Repurpose campaign highlights and field footage into engaging social media content.
Administration and Research
- Prepare courier lists and manage the delivery and collection of campaign materials, testers, and samples.
- Maintain organised digital filing systems for creative assets, supplier information, and internal trackers.
- Conduct research into competitor activity, industry trends, and international retail innovations.
Requirements
- Must be between 18 and 34 years old.
- Must be a candidate as defined in accordance with the BBBEE definition.
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be unemployed.
- Must not have completed a Yes4Youth programme previously.
- Must be a current student or recent graduate studying towards a degree or diploma in Marketing, Media, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must have advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, or Google Workspace.
- Must have a genuine interest in retail marketing, digital media, and consumer experience.

Advantageous

Remuneration and Contract
- Monthly stipend: R6,000.00
