eNCA is hiring an Intern: Social Media & Video Producer to assist the eNCA Digital team with social media output.

The intern will help cut content from television news, edit videos, suggest captions, and adapt content for different online platforms.

The role also includes assisting with podcast production and setup, filming and photographing content, and supporting digital news production across social media and website platforms.

Responsibilities

Assist with producing social media content

• Take instruction on cutting relevant clips from television for use on social media.
• Assist with compiling video content from reporters.
• Edit videos and pictures sent by reporters into cohesive visual stories.
• Assist with the production of features.
• Source footage and images from archives, live feeds, reporter content, and wires.
• Learn to write scripts.
• Learn to write AV audio/visual scripts.
• Assist with editing content for digital use.

Assist with filming, editing, and producing content

• Film “coming up” videos for shows.
• Prepare video content for publishing on eNCA’s platforms.
• Assist in the newsroom and sometimes in the field.
• Accompany reporters when required.
• Film and photograph content for online use in different scenarios.

Assist with overall digital team functions

• Transfer content to the new website backend.
• Assist with podcast production.
• Acquire footage from MCR, archives, and reporters.
• Assist with photography and filming in the field.
• Source images for the website.
• Support other requirements from Digital News Editors.

• National Diploma in Journalism.
