General Worker

Description

To carry out general maintenance in developed and undeveloped open spaces, natural resources, and community facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment.

Responsibilities

•  Perform general maintenance work in public open spaces and facilities.
•  Assist in the development of new facilities and the upgrading of existing ones.
•  Provide general logistical support to the section.
•  Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act 85 of 1993).

Requirements

•  Ability to perform general duties.
•  Basic literacy.
•  Physical fitness and good health (no back problems).
•  Willingness and ability to work shifts, standby, and overtime as required.
•  Must undergo a criminal record check (fingerprints to be taken by Tshwane Metro Police at own cost).
•  Advantageous: Knowledge and experience in pool maintenance.
