The City of Johannesburg is offering short-term contract opportunities (not exceeding 10 months) for Verification and Survey of Informal Traders under the Department of Economic Development. The role focuses on collecting and verifying data relating to informal traders in streets and markets to support the Informal Trading Unit.

Responsibilities

•  Conduct verification and surveys of informal traders in designated areas.
•  Collect and record accurate street and market data.
•  Provide support on informal trader status monitoring.
•  Assist with reporting and data submission to the unit.

Requirements

•  Grade 10 or equivalent
•  Be a South African Citizen;
•  Reside within the jurisdiction of City of Johannesburg;
•  PWD are strongly encouraged to apply (Proof of disability to be submitted);
•  Be prepared to undergo a computer-based assessment.
