Job Description

Smollan is inviting applications for the Merchandiser (40 Hour) opportunity based in Oospoort, Gauteng.

This is a permanent full-time role for candidates who are passionate about retail, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and want to contribute to an excellent in-store customer experience.

The successful candidate will help ensure shelves are stocked correctly, displays are visually appealing, products are properly priced and maintained, and customers receive helpful support in store.

Responsibilities

• Count, document, and manage stock levels.
• Unpack and organise products.
• Create attractive product displays.
• Help plan store layouts.
• Design signs and advertisements to attract customer attention.
• Ensure products are properly displayed, priced, and maintained.
• Remove old or damaged products.
• Work with marketing, sales, and other teams to achieve business objectives.
• Provide product advice to customers.
• Handle customer complaints.
• Respond to customer queries and requests.
• Keep the store area and storeroom clean, tidy, and uncluttered.

Requirements

• Matric.
• English.
• Must live within 15km of the job location.
• Clear criminal record.
• Must have a smartphone.
• Must have a Matric certificate, ID, SARS letter, and bank confirmation letter.
• A Vodacom SIM card is required if the application is successful.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Merchandiser
  • Retail Assistant
  • Retail Salesperson
  • Sales Advisor
  • Sales Agent
  • Sales Administrator
  • Sales Assistant
  • Sales Associate
  • Sales Consultant
  • Sales Representative
  • Salesperson
