Description

The South African Police Service is hiring a Panel Beater at Constable level.

The post is based at Mthatha Garage in the Eastern Cape Province under Mechanical Services.

Level of Remuneration: Band A — R248,175.00 per annum

Responsibilities

• Strip vehicles and diagnose defects.
• Determine the spares required and compile a list.
• Ensure received spares are correct and assemble accordingly.
• Ensure the job card is written up in detail and presented to the technical advisor with the vehicle.

Requirements

• Applicant must display competency in the post-specific functions of the post.
• Must be proficient in at least two official languages, of which one must be English.
• Must be a citizen of the Republic of South Africa and provide documentary proof on the day of the interview.
• Must be in possession of at least a valid light motor vehicle driver’s license.
• Must have a relevant valid Trade Test Certificate in the field of the post, in terms of the Skills Development Amendment Act 37/2008.
• Experience in the relevant field of the post will be an advantage.
• Must have no previous criminal convictions or pending criminal / departmental cases.
• Must allow fingerprints to be taken and background enquiries to be made.
