Description

The Department of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environmental Affairs is recruiting a Risk Practitioner within Risk Management Services in Glen.

The position supports the development, maintenance and implementation of departmental risk-management processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development, maintenance and implementation of the Risk Management Strategy.
• Assist with the development, maintenance and implementation of the Risk Management Framework.
• Assist with the development, maintenance and implementation of Risk Management Policy statements.
• Assist with the development, maintenance and implementation of the Risk Plan and Risk Policy.
• Facilitate risk-identification and risk-assessment workshops.
• Maintain and update the Department’s consolidated risk-register database.
• Conduct risk-awareness programmes.
• Monitor and review the implementation of risk-management processes.
• Compile Operational Monitoring Reports.
• Report on performance against the Risk Management Implementation Plan.
• Assist with the secretariat duties of the Risk Management Committee.
• Prepare and maintain Risk Management Committee minutes.
• Maintain attendance registers for the Risk Management Committee.
• Provide logistical and support services to the Risk Management Committee.

Requirements

• A National Senior Certificate.
• An appropriate National Diploma or bachelor’s degree at NQF Level 7 in one of the following fields:
  • Risk Management.
  • Internal Audit.
  • Accounting.
  • Economics.
  • Compliance Management.
• A valid driver’s licence.
• No mandatory experience is stated.
