Sun International is inviting applications for an Unemployed Learnership Professional Cookery opportunity at InterContinental Table Bay Cape Town.

This learnership is aimed at passionate and motivated individuals who want to turn their love for cooking into a career in the hospitality industry.

The programme gives learners the opportunity to gain hands-on workplace experience in a professional kitchen environment while learning from experienced culinary professionals.

Successful candidates will gain exposure to restaurant operations, banqueting, food preparation, kitchen hygiene, food safety, customer service, and hospitality standards within a world-class hospitality environment.

• Participate in the Professional Cookery Learnership programme.
• Gain practical experience in a professional kitchen environment.
• Assist with food preparation and presentation.

• Support restaurant and banqueting operations where required.
• Learn and apply standard operating procedures.
• Work with team members in a professional hospitality environment.
• Support guest service and customer experience standards.
• Assist with stock control and operational kitchen processes.
• Work shifts according to operational requirements.
• Perform similar duties in alternative outlets when required.

• Grade 12 / Matric.
