Access70 / NPI Consulting is inviting applications for a Software Development Learner opportunity based in Centurion, Gauteng.

This is a 12-month fixed-term workplace learnership designed for an aspiring software developer who wants to gain real-world experience while working alongside experienced developers on exciting projects.

The successful learner will be exposed to software development, commercial web applications, testing, software improvement, backup and recovery, database-related tasks and project contribution.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates who are passionate about technology, eager to build software development skills and ready to grow in a professional technology environment.

Responsibilities

The successful learner will be responsible for:

• Assisting with developing commercial web applications.
• Assisting with testing commercial web applications.
• Collaborating with senior developers.
• Collaborating with infrastructure engineers.
• Contributing to existing software improvement.
• Assisting with managing backup processes.
• Assisting with recovery processes.
• Assisting with database-related tasks.
• Learning from experienced developers.
• Contributing to real projects.
• Building practical software development skills.
• Supporting the team with development-related tasks.

Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Matric.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of JavaScript.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Java.
• Demonstrated knowledge of C/C++.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Python.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SQL.
• Must be agile.
