Absa Group is recruiting unemployed graduates for a Microinsurance Sales Consultant Learnership based in Umhlanga.

The programme is designed to provide practical skills, structured learning and workplace experience within the microinsurance and financial-services industry.

The successful learners will promote accessible insurance products, build relationships with customers and support clients throughout the insurance process while developing practical sales, customer-service and compliance skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell microinsurance products to individuals and communities.
• Explain accessible and affordable insurance solutions to potential customers.
• Identify customers’ needs.
• Recommend suitable insurance products.
• Build trust with customers and community groups.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Assist clients with insurance applications.
• Assist clients with policy queries.

Requirements

• Matric or Grade 12.
• A completed diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
• Applicants must currently be unemployed.
• Applicants must not currently be studying.
• South African citizenship.
• Clear criminal record.
• Clear credit record.
• A valid driver’s licence.
• Access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to travel within KwaZulu-Natal and surrounding rural areas.
• Willingness to travel within Gauteng and/or KwaZulu-Natal where required.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office or similar digital platforms.
