East Coast Radio / Kagiso Media is offering an Audio Production Intern opportunity in KwaZulu-Natal.

The intern will assist with on-air and brand imaging productions, production department operations, VOX pop recordings, and show support.

Responsibilities

• Assist with on-air and brand imaging productions.
• Learn to read scripts and voice directing.
• Assist in the general operations of the production department.
• Conduct on-the-ground VOX pop recordings.
• Work within the team to promote a high-performance culture.
• Provide show support to content producers throughout the day.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Sound Engineering with emphasis on Production.
• Radio Production qualification is advantageous.
• Code 08 Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of audio software, including Pro Tools.
• Intimate radio knowledge.
• Knowledge of Mac computer systems.
• Full understanding and knowledge of recording studio equipment, including all or most technologies.
• Broad general knowledge and general computer literacy, including:
  • MS Word
  • MS Excel
  • MS PowerPoint
  • MS Outlook
• Ability to research and keep up with global trends.
• Ability to execute scripts when provided.
• Highly organised and deadline driven.
