Description

Red Bull South Africa is looking for a motivated Accounting Intern to join its Finance Department in Cape Town for six months.

The intern will gain practical finance experience while supporting the management of key suppliers and helping maintain an effective financial-control environment. The role reports directly to the Chief Accountant.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices using SAP.
• Review invoice coding and authorisations.
• Help maintain the quality of the financial-control environment.
• Monitor vendor-account balances.
• Ensure that vendor accounts remain in the appropriate credit position.
• Prepare reports comparing actual expenditure with budgeted costs.
• Assist with analysing posted invoices.
• Maintain records of items required for management reporting.
• Respond promptly and professionally to queries from vendors and employees.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with vendors and employees.
• Assist with additional accounting duties when required.
• Help identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiency.

Requirements

• Relevant Diploma or Degree.
• Excellent accounting knowledge.
• Strong reconciliation skills.
• Strong analytical ability.
• Intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Previous exposure to SAP would be advantageous.
