Foot Gear SA is offering a Human Resource Administrative Internship to N6 graduates who require practical workplace experience to complete their National N Diploma in Human Resource Management.

The intern will provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department while gaining exposure to employee administration, onboarding, payroll support, benefits administration, employee records, and HR compliance processes.

Responsibilities

Employee Administration

• Create and maintain employee files.
• Ensure that employee records remain accurate and current.
• Capture employee information on HR systems.
• Assist with employment contracts, letters, and other HR correspondence.
• Protect confidential employee information in accordance with POPIA requirements.

Onboarding and Offboarding

• Coordinate onboarding documentation for new employees.
• Track the completion of onboarding requirements.
• Assist with employee exit administration.
• File termination documents correctly.

Payroll and Benefits Administration

• Assist with capturing employee leave and absenteeism records.
• Support payroll preparation and employee-information updates.
• Maintain employee-benefits records and supporting documents.
• Respond to basic payroll-related queries.
• Provide UIF documents to current and former employees.

General HR Administration

• Prepare HR reports and spreadsheets.
• Assist with HR projects.
• Support employee-engagement initiatives.
• Manage electronic and manual filing systems.
• Respond to general HR queries from employees.
• Perform additional HR administrative duties when required.

Requirements

• N4, N5, and N6 certificates in Human Resource Management.
• A statement of results may be submitted if the certificates have not yet been issued.
• Must require 18 months of workplace experience to obtain a National N Diploma.
• No previous work experience is required.
• Previous administrative experience would be advantageous.
• Basic understanding of Human Resources principles.
• Basic understanding of labour-legislation principles.
• Knowledge of recruitment and employee-administration processes.
• Familiarity with POPIA and confidentiality requirements.
