Managed People Solutions is recruiting a Junior Merchandiser Intern in Graaff Reinet, Eastern Cape.

The internship provides hands-on experience in the liquor and retail industry. The successful candidate will support in-store merchandising, stock availability, product displays, pricing and promotional activities.

Responsibilities

• Determine which stock needs to be merchandised.
• Ensure the correct stock is available in the store.
• Check product quality.
• Check product rotation.
• Check product pricing.
• Set up products according to the company’s merchandising standards.
• Report customer issues and requests.
• Maintain accurate merchandising records.
• Monitor out-of-stock products.
• Report out-of-stock products to management.
• Maintain current knowledge of products and promotions.
• Complete store calls according to the prescribed call cycle.
• Advise the Regional Sales Manager about out-of-stock products.

Requirements

• Applicants must be under the age of 28.
• Applicants must currently be unemployed.
• Applicants must not have participated in a similar internship before.
• Applicants must hold an NCV Level 4 qualification in one of the following fields:
  • Administration.
  • Finance.
  • Transport and Logistics.
  • Management.
  • Marketing.
  • Information Technology.
• Alternatively, applicants must hold an N6 Certificate in:
  • Marketing Management; or
  • Business Management.

Other

Stipend: R3 500 per month

Contract Duration:

• NCV Level 4: 12 months.
• TVET N6: 18 months.

Working Hours: Nine hours per day, including lunch.
