Sage is hiring a Marketing Intern to join its team in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Marketing Intern will support the Campaign Manager in the planning, development, execution, and optimisation of marketing initiatives aimed at increasing engagement, demand, and advocacy among both existing and new customers.

The intern will assist in creating relevant and engaging programmes and campaigns that support commercial performance for the Sage product portfolio.

Successful candidates will join the Intern Programme on 1 October 2026 for 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning and implementation of marketing activations for direct and partner campaigns.
• Provide support for marketing events and exhibitions as required.
• Coordinate the production of marketing communications and collateral.
• Upload marketing materials to online libraries, internet groups, and internal social media platforms.
• Support social media content creation for the region.
• Update and maintain marketing department documentation.
• Manage branding and marketing assets, including ordering, distribution, maintenance, and stock control.
• Coordinate special projects and marketing-related elements.
• Assist with the sales, marketing, and communication functions of the team.
• Handle other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
• Degree or National Diploma qualification in Marketing Management.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Clear criminal record.
• Must be unemployed.
• Excellent telephonic etiquette.
• Good understanding of customers in the Accounting, Payroll, and HR environment.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with internal and external customers.
• Proactive and motivated attitude.
• Strong desire to learn and grow.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to support the Customer Operations team.
