Sage is hiring a Retention & Renewals Intern to join its sales team.

The internship is designed for a motivated and dynamic candidate who will gain practical exposure to customer retention, renewals, revenue support, customer service, and sales administration.

A Renewals Advisor is responsible for maintaining revenue, supporting customer retention, and providing service excellence. The role requires collaboration across various lines of business to support efficiency and ensure operational and revenue goals are met or exceeded according to KPIs.

Successful candidates will join the Intern Programme on 1 October 2026 for 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all communication with clients, whether telephonic or via email, is correct and professional.
• Capture client communication on the system when necessary.
• Accurately manage incidents, escalations, and call requirements within the timelines outlined in the KPIs.
• Ensure all cancellation categories are correctly captured and updated according to departmental guidelines.
• Comply with internal administrative and data requirements.
• Ensure downgrade forms are correctly submitted.
• Handle re-invoice requests.
• Ensure contracts are accepted.
• Assist with the annual channel renewal process.
• Support the achievement of specified retention rates.
• Communicate product information and developments to customers.
• Provide leads to the relevant department.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
• Degree or Diploma in:
  • Marketing
  • Business Management
  • Any relevant qualification
• Must have no working experience.
• Must not have completed any internship or graduate programme.
• Must be able to work on Microsoft Office.
• Must have a clear criminal record.
• Strong customer service ethic.
