Description
The Department of Roads and Transport is seeking a Food Service Aid to provide catering and hospitality support within the Office of the HOD. The role involves maintaining kitchen hygiene, preparing and serving refreshments, and ensuring efficient food service operations.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain kitchen utensils, equipment, and facilities.
- Prepare and serve food, snacks, and beverages (tea, coffee, water, cold drinks).
- Set up and clear dining areas, including crockery, cutlery, and equipment.
- Maintain stock registers of food supplies and report waste or losses.
- Provide catering support for meetings and events, including the HOD’s engagements.
- Ensure quality control, hygiene, and safety standards are applied at all times.
- Remove garbage and maintain cleanliness in food service areas.
Requirements
- Grade 9 / ABET Level 4 certificate or equivalent.
- No prior work experience required.
