As a member of our team, you’ll be operating the cash registers, stocking our shelves, keeping our stores looking their best, and serving our customers. We are here to deliver service excellence through efficient customer service, point of sale (POS) operational activities and merchandising in store that leads to a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader
- Processes customer purchases, performs general cleaning duties, stocks shelves and merchandise displays neatly
- Provides exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience
- Provides feedback to management on all products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues
- Participates in taking store inventory counts according to guidelines and monitoring inventory for accuracy
- Adheres to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
- Stocks shelves and merchandise properly to guarantee that products are available for the customer
- Follows merchandising planograms to create excellently merchandised displays
- Organizes new inventory, removes and breaks down empty boxes
- Follows all safety procedures
Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
- Desirable: experience in a customer facing role within the retail/ FMCG store operations environment.
- A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
