Description
The Department of Health is seeking an Administration Clerk to support patient administration services at Kopanong District Hospital. The role focuses on accurate record management, patient data capturing, and administrative support in line with healthcare policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient registration, admission, and filing duties
- Capture patient information accurately, both electronically and manually
- Manage patient records in line with record management policies
- Handle patient administration statistics, reports, and data submissions
- Perform sub-cashier duties, including collection of patient fees
- Respond to telephonic enquiries related to patient administration
- Comply with internal and external policies, procedures, and disposal requirements
Requirements
- Grade 12 with no experience OR Grade 10 with 2 years’ experience in patient administration
- Computer literacy is essential
- Willingness to work shifts, night duty, weekends, and public holidays
- Ability to work under pressure in a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of Patient Administration Guidelines and Record Management Policies
