Description
The Finance Clerk is responsible for accurately capturing, processing, and validating financial data related to client contracts. This includes billing, waybill verification, and document management to ensure effective financial control and compliance with DHL standards.
Responsibilities
- Capture and process waybills daily in line with client contracts.
- Verify weights, volumes, and rates for billing accuracy.
- Prepare, validate, and submit billing files (daily, weekly, and monthly).
- Scan, label, and file waybills, PODs, and supporting documents.
- Capture and reconcile petty cash transactions.
- Support with financial audits, asset verification, and project-related tasks.
- Assist in recovering outstanding client payments.
- Maintain professional communication with internal departments.
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar finance or administrative role.
- A tertiary qualification in Finance or Financial Management is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of client billing processes and financial documentation.
