Advtech is inviting applications for the Classroom Assistant position at Junior Colleges Sunninghill. This role is suited to candidates who are passionate about early childhood development and can support children in a caring, structured, and play-based learning environment.

The successful candidate will assist with classroom responsibilities, school readiness, continuous assessment, and daily programme support while helping to uphold the ethos and teaching style of the school. Responsibilities

• Carry out all duties required of a Classroom Assistant
• Uphold the ethos of the school
• Prepare children holistically for the next grade
• Assist children with school readiness
• Conduct continuous assessment throughout the year
• Communicate progress to parents through interviews and written reports
• Work effectively as part of a team toward the success of the school
• Follow a well-designed daily programme
• Participate in general school events during the year
• Integrate learning activities through the active involvement of the child
• Support the school’s informal teaching style through learning by play

Requirements

• Minimum requirement is a Matric Certificate
• Must have experience working with young children in the same or similar type of position in a similar environment
