Description

The Eastern Cape Department of Health is recruiting seven Administration Clerks: PAIA Coordination at Frere Tertiary Hospital in the Buffalo City Metro.

The position is responsible for receiving and coordinating Promotion of Access to Information Act requests, maintaining electronic records and supporting reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Receive all PAIA requests.
• Coordinate all PAIA responses submitted to Head Office.
• Assist with training facilities within the hub on the management of PAIA requests.
• Help ensure responses are provided within the stipulated period.
• Liaise with internal legal advisers.
• Ensure requests are analysed and quality-checked before being forwarded to the relevant requesters.
• Facilitate responses to requests from internal defence teams, including the Office of the State Attorney, State Law Adviser and Legal Service Officials.
• Facilitate monthly reconciliation between requests received, responses provided and information captured on the e-Liability system.
• Load all PAIA requests onto the electronic system.
• Upload documents supporting the requests and all relevant records.
• Manage records.
• Submit information to relevant institutions, including the Auditor-General of South Africa.

Requirements

• A National Senior Certificate or NQF Level 4 qualification.
• No experience is required.
• Basic knowledge of administrative processes.
• Computer literacy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• One year of public-service internship programme experience will be given preference.
