Description

The Eastern Cape Department of Health is recruiting an Administration Clerk: PAIA at Frontier Regional Hospital in the Chris Hani District.

The position is responsible for receiving and coordinating PAIA requests, maintaining electronic records and supporting reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Receive all PAIA requests.
• Coordinate all PAIA responses submitted to Head Office.
• Assist with training facilities within the hub on the management of PAIA requests.
• Help ensure that responses are provided within the stipulated period.
• Liaise with internal legal advisers.
• Ensure requests are analysed and quality-checked before being forwarded to the relevant requesters.
• Facilitate responses to requests from internal defence teams, including the Office of the State Attorney, State Law Adviser and Legal Service Officials.
• Facilitate monthly reconciliation between requests received, responses provided and information captured on the e-Liability system.
• Load all PAIA requests onto the electronic system.
• Upload documents supporting the requests and all relevant records.
• Manage records.
• Submit information to relevant institutions, including AGSA.

Requirements

• A National Senior Certificate or NQF Level 4 qualification.
• No experience is required.
• Basic knowledge of administrative processes.
• Computer literacy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• One year of public-service internship programme experience will be given preference.
