Description
SGS is seeking motivated Civil Engineering learners to join the YES Program based in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will assist with field and laboratory testing activities, support quality control processes, and ensure compliance with company safety standards. Responsibilities include sample collection and preparation, conducting test methods accurately, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and reporting any deviations or non-conformances. This role is ideal for candidates eager to gain practical experience in civil engineering materials testing within a professional and high-performance environment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for cleaning up the site / workshop after task is completed or at the end of the day which comes first, where the job was carried out and make sure it's free off all consumables used to perform the job (masking tapes, tins, etc)
- To adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system
- To orally report any deviations, irregulateries and non-conformance's
- Responsible to perform any other reasonable task assigned byt the authorized site supervisor/laboratory manager and regional manager
- Perform all field and laboratory work including sampling, calculations and performing test methods accurately.
- Ensure discipline within his/her assigned department
Requirements
- Be a South African citizen (be able to produce a valid South African ID document)
- Be between the ages of 18-30
- Must be currently unemployed
- Must have no criminal record
- Must be willing to relocate to Nelspruit
