International Facilities Services is inviting applications for an HR Learnership based in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal.
This learnership provides practical working experience in Human Resources within a fast-paced operational environment. The successful candidate will gain exposure to HR administration, employee relations, compliance, labour matters, reporting, and people analytics.
The role is suitable for candidates with a Human Resource Management qualification who want to develop practical HR experience and support HR operations across different sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR administrative support to the Group HR Manager.
- Support HR operations across operational sites.
- Assist with ad hoc HR tasks when required.
- Maintain and update HR records accurately.
- Maintain HR databases and employee files.
- Handle HR information with confidentiality.
- Draft warnings, disciplinary notices, sanctions, and related HR documentation.
- Support the scheduling and coordination of disciplinary enquiries.
- Support incapacity, probation, performance, and ill-health enquiry coordination.
- Work with site HR teams on employee relations matters.
- Maintain and update HR trackers daily.
- Update training trackers.
- Update disciplinary enquiry trackers.
- Update external labour matters trackers.
- Compile monthly HR reports.
- Support HR data analysis and people analytics.
- Monitor and track leave, absenteeism, disciplinary outcomes, probation periods, and HR trends.
- Liaise with the Department of Labour, CCMA, and equivalent labour bodies across African regions where required.
- Monitor labour and compliance audits.
- Support timely resolution of compliance matters.
- Escalate compliance concerns where required.
- Maintain compliance registers.
- Track National Minimum Wage implementation dates.
- Track collective wage agreement expiry dates.
Requirements
- Qualification in Human Resource Management.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Labour Law or Data Analytics will be advantageous.
- 1 year HR administration or labour relations experience will be advantageous.
- Exposure to HR systems and reporting tools will be beneficial.
- Interest in HR administration, employee relations, compliance, and people analytics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
