Description
The City of Cape Town offers an opportunity for passionate and disciplined individuals to join the Metro Police and Traffic Learnership Programme. This structured training provides academic and practical experience in law enforcement, traffic management, and community safety.
Responsibilities
- Undergo theoretical and practical training in traffic and law enforcement.
- Enforce by-laws, road traffic regulations, and municipal policies.
- Participate in community safety awareness programmes.
- Maintain discipline, integrity, and professionalism at all times.
- Successfully complete all physical, academic, and driver assessments.
Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification (proof required).
- Permanent resident within Cape Town.
- Aged between 18 and 35 years.
- Medically and physically fit for strenuous training.
- No criminal record or pending cases.
- Valid Code B (manual) driver’s license.
- Unemployed at date of enrolment (7 January 2026).
- No visible tattoos when in uniform.
