Givaudan is inviting applications for the Sales Assistant Learner opportunity in Johannesburg. This role is suited to candidates who want to build experience in sales support, commercial administration, customer coordination, and business operations within a global company.

The successful candidate will support the Key Account Manager and the broader Commercial team by helping manage customer project systems, maintaining accurate commercial and customer information, coordinating meetings and visits, and providing important administrative and secretarial support. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants practical exposure in a professional commercial environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing customer project systems
• Follow up on key actions from customer visits
• Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Key Account Manager and Commercial team
• Maintain and update Commercial and Customer systems
• Manage customer Master Data to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Prepare monthly sales reports to monitor customer and territory performance
• Support the Sales Team with general CRM activities
• Plan and coordinate customer visits and meetings
• Assist with preparing presentation materials for customer engagements
• Manage price quotation requests and customer communication
• Monitor customer price adjustment schedules and update pricing information in systems
• Assist with customer identification activities in new territories
• Assist with quarterly updates of the territory potential file
• Request samples through the CRM system for customer briefs or product comparisons
• Coordinate and dispatch customer samples with the required documentation
• Track sample requests in the customer project system
• Communicate with customers regarding sample status and delivery timelines
• Assist with travel arrangements for the Key Account Manager
• Assist with action-taking and minute-taking in project meetings
• Monitor project timelines and send reminders to team members
• Handle filing and correspondence for the department
• Maintain electronic filing systems for customer documents, visit reports, and product information
• Communicate with cross-functional teams including Development, Marketing, CMI, and System Power-Users
